| Morgan Stroman named PreSeason All-American by Sporting News Magazine |

| Morgan Stroman
(Jr) from Lower Richland High School was named to the 6th team of the
Sporting News pre-season All-American teams. Stroman, a junior from
Hopkins, South Carolina was among 30 players picked this year from around
the country. She is one of 8 juniors named this year and the only
South Carolina player named to a team. Stroman, the reigning Gatorade
Player of the Year is garnering national attention playing with the Adidas
Sponsored South Carolina Lady 76ers on the summer travel team circuit and
is being recruited by many schools around the country including many ACC
and SEC schools. In addition, Stroman’s Lower Richland Lady Diamonds
high school team coached by her mother Debbie Stroman is shooting for their
third straight State championship. She is joined by All-American
Honorable Mention Fanny Goodwin (Sr) and South Carolina Lady
76er teammates Dayshaun Richbow (Jr) and Stephanie Hayes
(Jr). Other South Carolina Honorable Mentions include Sierra
Williams (Sr) Goose Creek High School and Ruby Wright (Sr)
Latta High School. The Sporting News magazine annually recognizes many of the top women’s basketball players nationally. The magazine publishes six teams of players recognized to be the best in the nation. Additionally, they publish an honorable mention list. Four South Carolinians are recognized as top players nationally for the upcoming season. Three of the four players currently have ties to the South Carolina 76ers and the fourth is a former South Carolina 76ers. Congratulations and best wishes to all of the players!
